About :
The Cybersecurity Department was established in 2020 to meet the increasing demands and advancements in the field of cybersecurity at both local and global levels. This initiative addresses the rapid growth of technology, the rising frequency of cyberattacks, and the escalating risks of hacking. The program is designed to prepare future professionals with the expertise and skills necessary to effectively detect and address vulnerabilities and security breaches.
The department offers a well-rounded curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, covering areas such as ethical hacking, digital forensics, encryption, network security, malware analysis, and cloud computing security, among others. It also integrates programming languages, equipping students with the ability to design and develop cutting-edge tools and scripts tailored specifically for cybersecurity applications.

Obtaining the Quality Assurance Certificate – Silver Level.
Obtaining the British ASIC accreditation.
Signing a partnership agreement with the global EC-Council.
A representative of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan achieved an advanced position in the global cybersecurity competition Black Hat MEA 2023, out of 250 international teams, held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Zaytoonah University representatives achieved a remarkable accomplishment in the “Capture the Flag” competition held on 16/5/2024 at Jordan University of Science and Technology, where its two teams from the Cybersecurity Department placed 13th and 14th out of 80 teams from across the Kingdom.
The successful launch of the first cybersecurity awareness scientific day under the title “Think Before You Click.”
The ZUJCTFv2 competition hosted by the Cybersecurity Department at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan concluded today. The second-day results of the “Capture the Flag (CTF)” competition involved six universities (Luminus Technical University College, Zarqa University, Philadelphia University, Petra University, Isra University, and Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan), with approximately 80 participants. The competition aimed to enhance students’ skills and create a competitive atmosphere through diverse challenges across multiple cybersecurity domains.
Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan won 1st and 3rd place in the ZUJCTFv2 competition.

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan achieved a remarkable accomplishment in the global Black Hat competition, where the Cybersecurity Department team at the Faculty of Science and Information Technology ranked 2nd among Jordanian universities and 24th globally out of 250 teams that qualified for the final stage.
Congratulations to the BLACKSEC team on their outstanding achievement in securing 2nd place in the prestigious ZUJACM Problem Solving Competition.
